You are loved.
I was traveling and due to holiday traffic and a missed connection, I found myself stranded at a train station for about 3.5 hours. As I ventured up the street to find a nearby coffee shop, I came across this simple message, painted on the concrete along the sloping sidewalk: You are loved.
Such a sweet and simple message, and much needed after a long day of traveling. There it was – a bright spot of color on a cloudy morning, a reminder that we are loved, every day. Some days I need this reminder more than other days. Today was one of them.
Shortly after taking this picture, my sister called and kindly drove 1.5 hours to pick me up so that I would not have to wait alone. Gestures like this make us feel loved, and paintings like this keep us inspired when we need the reminder.
Wherever you are today… You are loved.
